Mobile and Edge Computing
Edge computing is gaining acceptance to execute real-time applications that have critical constraints of latency. These edge systems need to handle different tasks such as communication management, network management, task scheduling and privacy management for design of distributed mobile application. Challenges of edge infrastructure are a) latency of data transfer and processing in different tiers, b) limitations of edge resources c) geographically distributed data sources, and d) real time constraints of the applications.
The idea of this projects is to design systems for different areas of edge applications such as in area of smart grid, disaster monitoring, entertainment (360 video).
